Echuca, and a boat that will not wait
Around two and a half hours north. The port, the paddle steamers, and a schedule built around your cruise time.

Echuca is roughly two and a half hours from Melbourne, or a much shorter run from our Shepparton depot. The historic port and the paddle steamers are the draw, and they run to a timetable — which makes this a trip where the transport has to fit the booking rather than the other way round.
The cruise sets the clock
Paddle steamer departures are fixed and they sell out in peak season. Book your cruise first, tell us the time, and we will work backwards to a departure that gets your group there with room to spare rather than exactly on time.
The port precinct itself is walkable, so once we drop your group they can move between the boats, the woodturner and the lunch spots on foot.
Closer than you think from the north
Groups in Shepparton and the Goulburn Valley are barely an hour from Echuca, which makes it an easy half day rather than a major expedition. We run from our Apollo Drive depot, so a northern group is not paying for a coach to come up from Melbourne first.
Common questions
The boat. Cruise times are fixed and sell out; a coach schedule is flexible. Once you have a confirmed departure we will build the day around it.
