The Peninsula, spread out — and handled in one run

Hot springs, Red Hill, Arthurs Seat and the coast, without three cars losing each other on the way.

The Mornington Peninsula is roughly an hour and a half from Melbourne, and its attractions are genuinely spread out — the hot springs at Fingal, the Red Hill wineries, Arthurs Seat, and Sorrento right down the end. That spread is exactly what makes it awkward in convoy and easy on a coach.

Distance is the thing to plan around

Sorrento is a further forty minutes past Mornington, and Portsea further again. Groups routinely underestimate this and end up cutting the last stop. We plan the run in the order that keeps the driving down, which usually means working out along the peninsula rather than criss-crossing it.

Peninsula Hot Springs is the most common anchor. It books out, and it is worth locking in your session before your transport rather than after — we can build the day around a confirmed time far more easily than around a hopeful one.

Multiple pick-ups

Peninsula days often involve people scattered across Melbourne. We can run two or three pick-up points on the way down rather than making everyone converge on one spot first, which is usually the difference between a 7am start and an 8am one.

Common questions

Yes, and on a peninsula day it usually saves everyone time. Two or three stops on the way down is normal. Tell us roughly where people are coming from and we will suggest the sensible order.
